This role is responsible for performing a wide range of imaging procedures—including CT and X-ray—at a technical level that does not require continuous supervision. The technologist ensures high-quality imaging services while supporting patient care throughout the facility.
Provide technical support and patient care to assist physicians, nurses, and other clinical and administrative staff in meeting patient needs across the facility.
Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including X-ray, CT, CR readers, and PACS systems.
Perform imaging examinations in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, and promptly notify the attending physician of results.
Carry out basic clinical tasks under the direction of the physician or nurse on duty.
Maintain all required documentation—including logs, charts, forms, and records—in both paper and electronic formats.
Collect laboratory specimens and perform testing following established procedures and in compliance with COLA and CLIA regulations.
Ensure adequate inventory of reagents and consumables needed for accurate testing.
Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and scheduled maintenance and functional checks on imaging equipment per protocol.
Perform Quality Control testing as required by the laboratory.
Participate in Proficiency Testing or split sample analysis as required.
Retain analytic activity records for a minimum of two years.
Complete assigned Quality Assessment activities and document them for review by the Laboratory Supervisor and/or Laboratory Director.
Perform ER Technician responsibilities as needed.
Travel to additional facility locations when required.
Participate in staff meetings or other required company-sponsored meetings.
Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
High school diploma or GED required.
Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program required.
Associate’s degree in Radiology preferred.
State-required certification as a medical radiologic technologist.
ARRT Registered Technologist in Radiography required.
ARRT certification in Computed Tomography preferred; CT certification required within 12 months of hire (Pennsylvania market).
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
2+ years of radiologic/imaging experience preferred.
1+ year of CT experience preferred.
1+ year of emergency department experience preferred.
Proficiency with X-ray/CT equipment, hardware/software systems, and PACS is required.
Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Pennsylvania candidates: Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance and Act 73 FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance within the last 5 years (or obtained prior to start date).
