Job Description

A top assisted living facility in Dallas, Texas is looking for experienced geriatric nursing assistants (GNAs) as PRN with high-paying per diem job opportunities.

The nursing assistant will provide basic care and help patients with activities of daily living under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Nursing assistants work in a variety of nursing and care facilities, long-term care centers, assisted living facilities (ALFs), hospitals, home healthcare services, and more.

GNA Responsibilities:

Allowing for some variation in duties from one work setting to another, the following are typical responsibilities of GNAs:

Administer medications according to their physician's orders, provide personal and medical care, and obtain vital signs.
Be a source of emotional and social support to patients
Offer any other support needed to facility staff
Present your best self to patients, families, and facility staff

GNA Qualifications:

Here are basic qualifications and important skills for the expected GNAs:

Current, active GNA certification
CPR or BLS certification
Ability to provide physical assistance to patients as needed
Desire to do nursing in a way that benefits you AND the patient
