As a caregiver, you will provide a wide range of supportive services tailored to meet each client’s needs. Responsibilities may include:
Grooming & Oral Care: Assisting with hair brushing, nail care, dressing, use of electric razors, and oral hygiene such as brushing teeth or dentures
Personal Care: Helping with showers, bathing, bedside bathing, and changing adult briefs
Fall Prevention: Maintaining safe and clutter-free environments, using gait belts as needed, and assisting with safe, non–dead-weight transfers
Nutrition Support: Preparing home-cooked meals and providing feeding assistance when necessary
Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care: Offering patient-centered care and support for individuals with memory impairment
Medication Reminders: Ensuring medications are taken as prescribed (no administration)
Transportation Assistance: Accompanying clients to grocery shopping, errands, and recreational or social activities
Light Housekeeping: Performing basic household tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms
Laundry Assistance: Washing, drying, and folding clothes and linens
Companionship & Emotional Support: Providing engaging interaction, conversation, and emotional encouragement
